DJ Switch, born Obianuju Catherine Udeh, is a Nigerian DJ, singer, and activist. Originally from Enugu State but raised partly in Warri, Delta State, she is the youngest in her family.
Although she studied geology at the University of Port Harcourt, her passion eventually led her to a career in music.
Her breakthrough came in 2009 with the group Da Pulse, winners of the Star Quest talent show, whose single “So Tey” earned international recognition after a remix with Busta Rhymes.
She later won the inaugural Glo X-Factor in 2013, securing a record deal and launching her solo career.
Renowned for her self-taught DJ skills, she went on to represent Africa by winning the Red Bull 3Style competition for North and West Africa, alongside recognition from the City People Awards.
Beyond music, DJ Switch is a well-known voice for justice.Her livestream during Nigeria’s 2020 EndSARS protests spotlighted her courage, amplifying global awareness of the movement.
